That title just says so much. There is just something special about rifle season in Kentucky. The anticipation, the preparation, the countless hours spent in the woods scouting, wondering how big a buck does it take to make a rub this big. Just knowing all your hard work is going to pay off. Then the alarm sounds at 4 am if we had anything else to do we would hit the snooze a couple of times saying just five more minutes, but not this morning its opening day. Why ? I cant explain it there is just something mystical about it. Something about sitting in the stand watching the sun come up, watching the woods come to life, and knowing that at any second the buck of a lifetime could step in front of you . Just like it did with one of our hunters from this past season Steve Hall.
